In the first picture the lighting is very flat on the shoe to produce a level light and to make the shoe stand out as much as possible. There is a white backdrop being used to focus the viewers attention on the product. Photoshop has clearly been used to produce a shadow underneath the shoe, this hints to how the shoe is poised and the position of it.
I like how the photograph is lit and the composition of the image, however my shoot is a lowkey lighting setup, I chose to go with lowkey because i think it make the subject pop out and stand out more.

This is my final image from my shoot. I decided to go with photographing bright coloured shoes so it stands out from the black backdrop. I decided to have composition slightly to the left to consist with the rule of thirds and to make the photograph generally more interesting.
I had a black backdrop and a table to place the shoes on, there was also a cloth on the table which was very dark so it did not interrupt with the subject. I used post production on the photograph to have the scene totally blacked out and i took the shoes from the original scene and place it onto a black background to create maximum effect on the shoe. I think it has worked because where the background is completely black the viewers are drawn straight to the subject.
For this photograph I used a tungsten light to solely focus on the subject and to have a specific spot lighting, the shutter speed was set to 1/250S, I had it set to this because if I had set the shutter speed any lower the photograph would of come out over exposed and i wanted perfect lighting for my shoot. I also used an aperture of F8. I had this aperture of F8 because it worked perfectly with the tungsten lights and also because I wanted the shoe to be in focus but not too much, I wanted this because altough the plan was to have a completely black background and wanted the original to be not as dark so i could play around with it in Photoshop and tweek some aspects.
